( unfortunately for him, nobody ever really told mika what happened when you ran out of the chroma you need to get through passively just existing in lunatia. chroma is necessary — sure. it's money, of course money is needed to buy food and other such things, and make sure your body is being properly taken care of. if anybody knows the importance of that, (despite not necessarily being a stellar example of the taking-care part,) it would probably be mika. as for chroma as an energy source though?
it hits him before he even sees it coming. one moment, he's tidying up after himself before heading out to run some errands, and the next, he's opening his eyes to see iori's face right up close. )
Ngh, Iori-kun?
( blinking, he takes in the situation — they're on the ground. okay. iori looks worried. alright. he's, for some reason, being held in iori's arms while this is happening. huh??? with those three things in mind, it doesn't take very much for mika to infer what's happened — even now he's still a little light-headed, or maybe it's just sore from hitting the ground, who knows at this rate. when it comes to this kind of thing, he sure doesn't. what matters is that he's pretty sure that he passed out, because this isn't the first time something like this has happened and knowing mika, it probably won't be the last either. in the moment though? something like guilt runs through him at the sight of that worried expression, so he tries to sit himself up straight on his own — show he's okay. )
Ah, sorry. I must've, uh, tripped.
( and, you know, stayed down. he's not a very good liar. )
